Bone and Seed
nurturing a community of spiritual/imagination
Looking is not the same as seeing. (spiritual companioning page)
"If one has the root stock, the basis, the original part, if one has seed corn, any havoc can be repaired, devastations can be resown, fields can be rested, hard seed can be soaked to soften it, to help it break open and thrive." (Clarissa Pinkola Estes)
These are the words that ground the Bone and Seed community.
There is the necessity of "root stock": the( ) that holds you, grounds you, centers you. For some, it may be a nurturing community of spiritual seekers to walk with. For others, a divine presence, however you choose to name it, that you engage with through some kind of regular practice. Or, it could be the story of you that has shape-shifted over time or your past or present faith or spirituality narrative.
Clarissa Pinkola Estes says that Bones are symbolic of those things of ancient and indestructible force, that which holds. Sometimes these things hinders us, other times they invite us into new ways of seeing and being.
Seeds, she says, are the life force within us that always reaches toward the real, the authentic, the truth. Seeds need to be cultivated, tended to, nurtured.
Bones and Seeds. The stories that ground us and those that call us into further vitality. Both are necessary for us to break open and to thrive.
What if there was a gathering place where you can just be, deeply hospitable space to connect again to yourself, to be with others who are curious and seeking, permission-giving, expansive, to ponder what your essential questions are, what ours are together?
.
Bone and Seed is a community, a common hub, for spiritual seekers and those who are curious, nurturing your deepest questions, thoughtful self- reflection and your most authentic, engaged, vital spiritual stories of being. It is a virtual gathering place for exploring spiritual imagination so that our spiritual lives are expansive rather than constrictive, liberating rather than limiting, integrated, carrying healing into our lives that then is carried out into the world.

about how we articulate our spiritual identity. We believe that how we name who we are and the language we use to give meaning to our spiritual lives profoundly shapes how we move through the world in kinship with ourselves and others. We may need to re-imagine or re-story the words, language, images, or experiences of what we understand to be “spiritual.” Or, perhaps, you seek to better understand what you mean by “spiritual” or deepen your practice of opening your heart through the wide lens of spirituality.
