rumi's poetry will be read, sung and danced as communal prayer/meditation. the meditative sounds of rumi's words set to music and chant by singer Su Eaton. you are invited to bring your favorite rumi poem and read it, or, others will be speaking poems. you are welcome to bring snack food to share.

explore the exquisite dimensions of rumi’s poetry through contemplative art-making. Part "lectio divina" ("sacred reading"), part contemplative practice, take a line or a stanza from the writings of rumi...pair it with art materials (an eclectic and user-friendly variety will be provided: images, words, colors, paints, natural objects)...and be surprised by what happens. come for an hour, come for the day. you do not need to be "artistic" or "creative" to find this quiet experience meaningful. $10 per hour; $50 for the whole day. Best suited for teens and adults, though parents and children are invited to work together.
