January 16,30 February 13,27 March 13, 27 April 10,24
@The Nest space @ First Churches 11 Center Street, second floor, Northampton, MA
The Mending Café follows in the story-cloth making traditions of African-American, Native American, Hmong, Mexican, Amish and Hawaiian women.
Sherril Willis brings her quilting expertise to the table. She'll work with you, once or as an on-going project, to design and make your own unique story cloth using a wide variety of fabrics and textiles. You do not have to have any sewing or quilting or fabric experience. Those who have sewing experience will be lightly guided; those with none will be gently instructed in the basics of fabric art.
Suggested Sliding Scale: $20-40 per session, but pay what you comfortably can. Come for an hour or come for the afternoon, but please let us know you are coming: firstname.lastname@example.org or call/text 413-348-2385.
