"I take a deep breath and sidestep my fear and begin speaking from the place where beauty and bravery meet--within the chambers of a quivering heart." Terry Tempest Williams
Bone and Seed: Experiments in Naming and Claiming Voice on-going on Tuesday mornings , 10:15am-12:30pm @ The Nest, 11 Center Street, Northampton *please note, this is NOT a drop-in group. We are seeking participants who can make a commitment to be a part of this group for at l east 3-4 months' time.
Bone and Seed is small group for those who identify themselves as women where important things about our various paths of self/spiritual inquiry are shared. Our time is carefully facilitated and curated through a flow of reflective prompts, conversation, written reflection, and expressive art making which lead us ever more deeply back to the well of our inner stories. Our inspirations are wide: podcasts, film and video clips, poetry, sacred texts, literature, music, silence, rituals small and big, news stories, and whatever the Spirit blows in.
This fall we will be on something of a inspirational pilgrimage in our contemplative creativity through sections of Sharon Blackie's lovely book When Women Rose Rooted, a thoughtful and empowering book written through the lense of her Celtic spirituality that weaves together the natural world, women's power and Presence.
At this time we are seeking additional 2-3 people to participate in this group. Most in the group are introverts who find quiet reflection necessary and all are comfortable and boundaried about good listening as part of the group process. If you are interested in being a part of Bone and Seed, please contact Susannah for a brief introductory chat.
