Rumi’s Poetry as Deep Listening

Saturday, April 28, 9:30am-3:30pm
Montague Common Hall in Montague Center

explore the exquisite dimensions of rumi’s poetry through contemplative art-making. Part "lectio divina" ("sacred reading"), part contemplative practice, take a line or a stanza from the writings of rumi...pair it with art materials (an eclectic and user-friendly variety will be provided: images, words, colors, paints, natural objects)...and be surprised by what happens.  come for an hour, come for the day.  you do not need to be "artistic" or "creative" to find this quiet experience meaningful.  $10 per hour; $50 for the whole day. Best suited for teens and adults, though parents and children are invited to work together.

Please let me know if you plan to stay for a light lunch:
