                        ——————————————-

After months of being inside and isolated, this workshop is an invitation to spend a Fall morning outdoors in community, meditation and creative practice. Seeing the world with fresh eyes—with graced sight—we will explore visio divina or “sacred seeing” through the vessel of contemplative photography, encountering that which is essential to our soul’s well-being: beauty, nature, colors, water, trees, art, Mystery, Presence.

Photography literally allows us a different lens through which to see, and transform, our surrounding world and perspectives. We (Sarah, art + soul’s intern and I) invite you to fully immerse yourself in a meditative practice of being; being fully present in the moment and beholding the impermanence of the changing seasons, our world, and our own continually inner experiences and perspectives.

Your phone camera is just fine and you need not be any kind of “photographer” or “artist”; we
will offer a few guiding questions and a couple of easy technique tips for you to consider as you wander, so you might want to bring your writing or art journal with you too.

NOTE: Because we will be social distanced and masked, and viewing photographs on a phone will not do our images justice, we will have an optional follow up ZOOM gathering to share our images on Saturday, October 24, 9:30-10:30am to more fully process and share what we discovered while in the garden. If you can’t make the 24th, send your photos along and we will share them.

Cost: There is a requested-but-not-required $10 per person donation to get into Three Sisters Sanctuary.
An additional love offering to art + soul for this workshop is most welcomed, but again, because times are tight, not required.

Please pre-register by 12 noon on October 16 so we know how many will be coming:

“For me, this is one of the wonders of photography: to be able to frame a moment in time and, within my gaze and absolute presence in that particular moment, to discover holiness. In that single moment, I am reminded that all moments are holy.”
