 What happens at the intersection of Word and Creativity?  This series is a thoughtful invitation to explore the Psalms- which are poems and songs really. We will be grounded by Rabbi Edward Feld's book Joy, Despair and Hope – Reading Psalms in our reflective and creative explorations over 3 Sundays.  Rabbi Feld is a member of Congregation B'nai Israel in Northampton, and will be joining us on Sunday, September 22 to share thoughts from his book.
The psalm will be spoken out loud, to be heard as the word music it is, and then, through a some brief prompts, you will be invited into personal reflection as you quiet your mind, still you heart, and open yourself to what may emerge.  Further exploration is encouraged through a wide variety of eclectic creative materials available at The Nest Space, or, if you prefer, you are welcome to write rather than art-make.  

 *Rabbi Feld will be at the September 22nd session to answer questions that have arisen in the process and engage with the participants and their work.

Fee for the class is on a sliding scale from $20 - $30 per class. $60 - $75 for all three classes.  Advance registration is required.
