Meet Artist Loretta Kane I am an observer of nature. Drawing and painting are my way of meditating on that beauty. Noticing the tiny details brings me further into the meditation and to an appreciation of the subject, whether it's a leaf or a bee. The process itself is my reward. Time spent meditating on nature. I hope my work brings awareness of the delicate balance of life, and the need to be mindful about the way we interact with nature. The watercolors and pencil drawings both have a sweet softness that transports the viewer to a simpler time. A dreamy place where all is well. I'm hoping my paintings bring you a moment of peace.
This exhibit of pollinators is intended to bring attention to the critical place of them in our ecosystem. 10% of the sale of any piece from this exhibit will be donated to Arcadia Wildlife Sanctuary. Additionally, 15% will be given to the LAVA Center for its continued offerings.
