Grief/Art Group
Wednesdays, 4:00-5:30pm
Because, as Francis Weller says, healthy grief is never meant to be a solely private event but shared, communal, this group invites those who have experienced a major loss within the last two years to be together in conversation and in creative response. We gather via ZOOM, briefly check in to see where participants are in the moment as they ride the ebbs and flows of the grief process, and then, if we feel like it, we mute ourselves but work together on some creative response, maybe art making, perhaps writing. For those who wish to, we unmute and share together.
If you wish to participate in the Grief Group, please let me know: artandsoul.wm@gmail.com.
Women’s Creativity Circle--FULL
Fridays, 10:00-11:45am
This is as simple as it gets: each Friday morning we gather via ZOOM. Come when you can, no commitment. We will briefly check in and do some easy breath centering. I will bring some prompts for possible inspiration (from a wide range of sources), and you are invited to be inspired by one of these prompts or work on whatever project you may be working on. We mute ourselves, but we are there together creating. At 11:10, or so, those who wish to can share what emerged for you with the group, not as critique, but as witnesses to how the spirit is moving through and with each of us. This group is open to all who identify as female.
The Seeker’s Writing Circle (FULL)
Saturdays, 9:00-11:00am
We go spelunking each week into the vocabulary of “spiritual literacy,” wrestling with words that we know but we don’t really know, words that nourish our spiritual lives, in whatever form they may take. We work with a word and unpack it over a series of thoughtful writing prompts, sharing as we feeler called to. This is not a technique group, but time for reflection and inner listening.
During our time of self-isolation, The Nest, and its access to a wonderful variety of creative materials, is closed. Therefore, there is no charge for any of these offerings. Love offerings for preparation and facilitation are ALWAYS welcome. You can offer support in a number of ways: http://www.artandsoulwm.org/support.html
