To what purpose do you return again? Beauty is not enough. You can no longer quiet me with the redness Of little leaves opening stickily. I know what I know. The sun is hot on my neck as I observe The spikes of the crocus. The smell of the earth is good. excerpt from the poem "Spring" by Edna St. Vincent Millay
What God Smells Like: Pilgrimage to Lilacland 24 Harkness Road, Pelham, MA
Please Note: *Due to the rainy, cold weather scheduled for Saturday, May 11, this event has been rescheduled to Monday, May 14, 10am - 12. The weather promises to be spectacular on Monday!
Last year? We wandered. We inhaled the smells deeply. Some wrote. Some painted. We gathered. We celebrated the Earth's goodness.
This year? We shall do the same, with a focus question to guide our steps around the magical Lilacland in Pelham, MA. I will bring some art supplies, but feel free to bring whatever medium you are comfortable with...and if you are not an "artist"? Come anyway, because the point of pilgrimage is to see with new eyes.
A love offering that is comfortable for you is requested to support the work of Art & Soul. And, it is always helpful to know if you plan to come so I can look out for you: firstname.lastname@example.org or call 413-348-2385.
