An altar: something on which an offering is made, where reverence and mystery  are made visible.  In the midst of the ordinary, there is holy ground.  Special spaces to pause, breathe, remember, set intention, give thanks, release, restore, recommit, celebrate.  These are ancient rhythms, these practices of the spirit.

  Altars
are soul stories, called up from the deepest inner places.

I most often work with unique vintage or antique wooden boxes or my favorite, old clock cases, to explore a question or memory, invite reverence or express grief.

Story Nests
are tools for nurturing your heart.

They engage stories of intention, affirmation, encouragement, and wisdom. They tend to be pocket-sized so you can take them with you wherever you go.

Grief Boxes normalize, encourage and tend the pain of loss. They offer the symbolism of containing the often-overwhelming emotions of grieving, even as they welcome them. Each Grief Box holds  a vintage handkerchief for when the tears come, an Egyptian Tear jar to catch those tears, chocolates and tea bags for comfort, a peace crane for regrets, compassion or forgiveness. I am glad to work with you to create a customized Grief Box.
