An altar: something on which an offering is made, where reverence and mystery are made visible. In the midst of the ordinary, there is holy ground. Special spaces to pause, breathe, remember, set intention, give thanks, release, restore, recommit, celebrate. These are ancient rhythms, these practices of the spirit.
Grief Boxes normalize, encourage and tend the pain of loss. They offer the symbolism of containing the often-overwhelming emotions of grieving, even as they welcome them. Each Grief Box holds a vintage handkerchief for when the tears come, an Egyptian Tear jar to catch those tears, chocolates and tea bags for comfort, a peace crane for regrets, compassion or forgiveness. I am glad to work with you to create a customized Grief Box.
